I had high expectations as friends have always recommended this place. I made a reservation for a Tuesday evening for two. We were sat at a table by staff and then another waiter came and asked us to move. Service was very inattentive and court: knocked over glasses, didn’t bring the wine menu, taking orders while carrying other people’s empty plates, etc. We ordered an antipasti platter to share (which was not tasty) and Parmesan linguine. The pasta was amazing, but the waiter sprinkled truffle flakes all over the table, into my wine glass and my trousers. The atmosphere felt like that of a museum cafe rather than an expensive restaurant: way too bright, no privacy, could overhear every conversation. All in all, this experience made me feel like they’re trying to offer an upscale dining experience but don’t have the skills to do it. We spent €80 per person and it was way worse than other Italian restaurants I’ve been to.

My go-to linch place that never disappoints. Whenever I crave for a truffle pasta, this is a place to beat. It‘s a very humble upbeat sophisticated place that is tucked inside the bushes of the city. I love love their generous truffle pasta and ever changing lunch menu on the board. There’s always new all the time. And that man with raspy voice in the kitchen always saying hello to the guests.. Quite a character but it bring authenticity in the place. The servers are all so nice and attentive. I‘ll give more stars if I could.

Had the loveliest dinner here last night (definitely recommend the truffle Parmesan pasta) and was really blown away by the service. Thank you Matthew and Sam for giving us a wonderful experience- can’t wait to come back.

The food was good, I ate a gnocchi dish with truffles and some beef strips. The portion was very small even for me, being a small eater. There was only one dessert option for lunch, tiramisu. The service was fine but a little slow, only one server during the whole lunch rush. Also as an appetizer we were served a brucheta despite my friend telling them she has a severe gluten allergy. I ate mine and liked it though.

Four of us were perfectly satisfied with lunch menus- minestrone, ravioli, pasta, steak, dessert, and espresso. Nice and friendly staff, modern atmosphere. One of the best meals in Hamburg.

Amazing food and experience. Nice apertivi, wine, and main course. I had the linguini with fresh shaved truffle and my partner had the avocado salad. We both loved our meals. The only thing I wish is that they had more desserts!

We had a rough experience in Hamburg but this place turned it around thank you for a lovely Wed night it was needed we found Hanburg full of hustlers from taxi drivers coach guides and service staff hand out for cash. M and M
